Lately I have been involved with a lot of video editing – mainly documentary of various sorts, which is why you haven’t seen so much from me. However I am also involved with the Wig Party and help promote it with my camera. This year The Wig Party is raising funds in association with The Elton John Aids Foundation for ‘Freedom To Be’. This excellent cause is raising funds for young people (teenagers) with HIV. The Wig Party itself is an extraordinary event and if you go to just one big party this year make it this one. It’s glamorous, fun, and freeing- you can be anyone you like for the night. It attracts a lively creative crowd of all ages, genders and colours and there is a wig pageant for those that have always wanted to do the catwalk. Here I attach some photos taken last night at Kings Cross Steelers RFC where the lads sportingly donned wigs to help us promote this cause. Expect to see a few of them at the party…

Last week the preparations for the Wig Party stepped up a gear with the boys and girls getting into their Gods and Monsters wigs and stepping out on the streets of Soho to let everyone know about it. It is a celebration of individuality, self-expression, tolerance and, not forgetting, really big hair! It is a night where people from all walks of life, from all over the world can enjoy themselves, by being themselves. And for that reason, anyone is welcome at Wig Party
An inspirational PARTY devoted to improving the world for those living with HIV and AIDS.
Oxjam is a music festival with hundreds of events around the UK, all organised by people who know and love their local music scene. And last Wednesday bands came from all over to play at Tommy Flynn’s to a packed and sometimes noisy crowd enjoying the atmosphere.

Just before the Bank Holiday got going I was contacted by Darin who was organising the an evening for the Oxjam music festival (which kicks off properly in the Autumn) . Her photographer was ill and could I step in. Here are some photos from the event.
